Terry Pollard was a pianist and vibraphonist, which means you have to listen for different instruments on different albums. She got her start in Detroit, which is obvious from some of her earliest recordings. She was a part of the music that led into Motown- including Jackie Wilson's first album He went as Sonny Wilson at the time. She went on to work with vibraphonist Terry Gibbs, which is who you hear at the beginning of the mixtape. I couldn't find any recordings of Pollard being interviewed, but you can hear her speak over some of the tunes if you listen carefully to the end of "Now's the Time" live from the Tonight Show.
I've lindicated which instrument she was playing on each album.
